In June of 2024, the FACE board unanimously voted to absorb the FCPS Parent Orchestra and create the FACE Parent Orchestra. Parent Orchestra was designed to bridge this gap and address the misconception that you can no longer learn how to play an instrument now that you are an adult. Parent Orchestra began with around 25 members in 2018 and in 2019 grew to over 200 interested parents of orchestra students in elementary, middle, and high school.
